The Love, Hope and Gratitude Foundation is a charity and relies on the generous help and commitment of volunteers.
The Foundation has established the Butterfly Effect pre-loved Treasure Trove and Cafe @ 19 McLaren Street Mount Barker, South Australia, currently open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm to the general public.
Lavender Cottage Community Care Centre 12a Hampden Road Mount Barker welcomes local homeless people and others in need by providing facilities for a shower and clothes washing as needed by appointment.. Please phone 0438 899 787.
Funds raised through sales in the Butterfly Effect Café and Pre-Loved Treasure Trove items will be used for ongoing management of the cottage and supports a safe house for women, their children and pets escaping domestic violence and abuse. This is the first operational safe house in the Adelaide hills and is already providing assistance to women in need. This service has been made possible by a generous donation of short term funding.
Volunteers are currently needed to help in the Café, sorting shop donations and assisting day to day operations. This is a great project to help our local community.
Volunteers are required for various duties to assist with our new venture. Look for the building with all the butterflies!
We require volunteers to work in the café and pre-loved items shop area on the days we are open to the public. There are many jobs to be done, from serving in the café' assisting with purchases, sorting and pricing, to displaying goods and general assistance.
Our goal is to open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday inclusive.
Volunteer support and training will be available, with two 4 hourly volunteer shifts per day. We appreciate any time that you can spare.
Our Volunteer Coordinator looks forward to hearing from you.. To register please follow this link. http://bttr.im/cjj4d
